Fill In The Blank Friday

It's 12:30 here in Chicago so its necessarily Friday. This is my second time doing a fill in the blank Friday from The Little Things We Do. I really enjoy filling these out and have to admit that I was really looking forward to doing so. I hope you enjoy getting to know me a bit more than you had before. Hope you have a happy Friday!!

1.   One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is     Listen to music and sing as loud as I can without caring if the neighbors can hear   .

2.   When I have free time I tend to    watch some crappy reality shows such as keeping up with the kardashians or the jersey housewives, and brows the inter web      .

3.  If I had an entire day completely to myself I would    probably lounge either in my room or on my bed watch some day time television, play some video games, give myself a full on manicure and pedicure, put on an awesome movie like Pretty Woman, and then cook a yummy dinner for when my boyfriend gets home    .

4.  I would prefer to spend my free time (alone or with others...)    Hah, probably mostly by myself but also with my boyfriend, and if I could I would also have my 2 year old Nephew come over and hangout with us   .

5.  Most of my free time happens    When I don't have school or homework  .

6.  The best thing about free time is    That you get to relax, enjoy yourself, and get things done   .

7.  The next time I have free time I should probably    clean my room and enjoy myself before the next semester of school starts   but instead, I'll probably     watch television all day again and browse the internet, then regret putting my day to waste  .

Before I finish this post: I wanted to share with you this really cute picture of Willow I found online, Willow is on FAVORITE movie EVER! I was really excited to find such a cute picture!

Traditional/Smokey/& Poppy Yellow -Makeup Looks.

Today I was looking through my makeup portfolio and I picked out some of my old favorites. Looking through these made me really miss my blonde hair, but I'm not going back because its a pain to maintain and I love being a healthy haired brunette. Any way, I don't have much to say about these looks, except they're cute and fun and I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do. What do you think?

5 Strand On My VERY Layered Hair/ New Makeup

This post mainly consists of two topics only because I did this all in the same day and because I really didn't want to have to make two blogs in the same day.

5 STRAND ON VERY LAYERED HAIR

I've been braiding lately, mainly due to the fact that while I was in Cosmetology school I didn't have much luck on working with them and now I've taken some time out of my life to work on them. I had some difficulties in doing this 5 strand braid, not because it was too much to understand, but because once you get the hang of it and practice, its pretty easy. It was very difficult because my hair is very layered and choppy, because of this my hair was falling out everywhere making it a mess. I know I should have used some sort of smoothing oil or lotion for my hair to control the frizzy-ness and wild layers, but frankly this was just for practice and I didn't feel the need to put more product in my hair right before bed when I was planning on taking the braid out in the first place. I didn't want any kinks. As I went on without using product my finished result ended as a cute messy 5 strand braid, and I was satisfied. This is a cute look for morning and night, you could dress up with it or go around casually. 5 stranding takes patience and practice to perfect, so don't get upset if you have to try it about 10 times to get the best result. I hope you enjoy!

ONTO THE MAKEUP

I recently went out with my boyfriend to go spend our Christmas Gift card money. I had $15 for Sephora and $25 in American Express. I figured before I went that I would be spending a bit more trying to keep it around $20. And I succeeded in keeping to my budget.

First I went to MAC looking to buy some more eye primer considering It was an emergency and I was all out. I was used to using the Paint Pot Barestudy which is a soft beige with a gold pearl and the Paint Painterly. Considering I was almost out of them both and I use more a matte look often, I decided to get a Painterly paint pot.

I then decided to go for a new Lipstick, and having tried on about 10 I finally found the perfect pink for myself. I went for a Matte Pink Plaid and I absolutely love it. Im pretty sure Ive tried it on before from a friend, probably in cosmetology school, I suppose this shade and myself were just ment to be.

The last two products from MAC were not necessarily bought recently but were given as a gift from my boyfriend for Christmas. Yes, I've put them in a previous post but considering the fact that these two products have been two of my favorite products for a very long time I decided to include them in this post in a more in depth manor. First is MAC Studio Tech NW20, It's a soft and creamy foundation that I dont use all over but in areas that need it most (I pretty much use it kind of like a concealer), and mostly under eye where I have dark circles. It has a blend of water, emollients and powder making it easily to be applied. On top of that as well as all over I use MAC Medium Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to set all of my foundation with a Matte look. These two products together work wonders and I doubt I will ever stop using them.

Then Finally I went over to Sephora to get something new. I wanted to find either another concealer or eye primer becuase its good to try something new and to have some variates. So I walked over to the NARS section and I decided to go for the concealer Light2 Vanilla, which works marvelously.
Overall I am a very happy shopper and I'm VERY satisfied with the products I now own.

All New Year

Its a new year, and a new start. I never usually take resolutions as seriously as I am this year, maybe its just that I'm trying to manage my life a bit more responsible than I have previously. This year my resolutions were to lose weight with my boyfriend, and to also try to live life in a more positive manner. I figured that since I am trying to take an interest in resolutions that maybe I could make a list for myself on ways that I could help plan my way to accomplish my goals. Yes, I could do this on my own and in private, but I figured that since these resolutions are common goals that maybe I could share my guide with anyone who would be interested...
1.)  Do things for yourself and don't rely on others. This could go for both resolutions (loosing weight and becoming more positive)..for losing weight it can help to get off your butt more often and doing it yourself because its exercise and by asking things from others so often is really making yourself look lazy...It also makes yourself more positive because doing more for and by yourself makes you more independent and it truly makes you appreciate yourself more.

2.) Set up a work out plan either find a plan online or make one up. you don't necessarily have to buy a gym membership. A good 30 minute work out is good enough. You can run to the store and pick up a $10 cardio workout movie and find time in your day to do it. If you have no interest in movies, find a dance game for your ps3, xbox, or wii, thinking about working out doesn't always excite me but maybe if there is a fun way to do it I could become more motivated and enjoy it. This is my workout plan that I will repeat all year, except on my rest days I'm going to do some arm work outs. Its not much..but its more than I did before..which is something. I found these on weheartit.com

3.) Dont think of the bad things that could happen, think of the good things that could happen. I have come to realization that I am an extreme worry wart. Its not fun, its uncomfortable, and if you could just change the way you think and focus on the good things that can happen in your life then everything will be alright. A happy positive mind = a happy positive person. for every negative thing in life.. there is always a positive. I found these on...weheartit.com
4.) Look on the bright side. Eventually things will get better its only a matter of time.I found this at weheartit.com

5.) smile as often as you can its more attractive and its known to put you in a better mood. If you're crying in the first place over something that hurt you, the person or even isn't even worth your tears to begin with. I found this at weheartit.com
6.) Stop being so insecure. You are beautiful, if other people say something negative about you, its only because they have insecurities about themselves. And if you ask to be criticized then learn to take it and make positive changes. If you can't take it then don't ask, its only hurting yourself, besides beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you believe you are beautiful than don't let anyone tell you different.I found these at weheartit.com

7.) Get out and LIVE! Getting out of the house is exercise and it puts you in a good mood. you don't need to spend money, go to a local park and just enjoy the beauty of things. Try and do exiting things..travel and view the world. Sometimes you can witness the craziest things just by walking down the street to a convenience store. The most amazing things that can happen in your life can inspire you and make you positive. I found these at weheartit.com

8.) Realize and appreciate things you have other than things you don't have. Its hard to look online and dream about getting those $200 shoes and all that makeup. but do you really NEED all of that? No. In the end, you're only dying with your soul and memories, not valuables and money. Think of what you have and truly appreciate it all. Some people don't have everything you have so stop being a brat, you're just annoying the people around you. If you need it that bad, then stop whining about it and go out and get it..work for it. Meanwhile, come to realization that you cant walk down the street and look for love, true love comes unexpectedly. Go out and do the things that you love to do and if someone comes along its fate, if not...everything happens for a reason. Maybe make a list of the positive things in life instead of counting the negative. My list consists my boyfriend, my family, things I've seen in life, knowledge, I'm grateful for myself...(my arms..legs. eyes etc.) and everything I'm worth for, Nature, I'm grateful for experiences that make me who I am today and much much more.
I found these at weheartit.com
9.) Breathe through rough and good times, always breathe and it will be okay.I found this at weheartit.com
10.) Laugh at the funny things in life.i might be a nerd, but i found this pretty funny while looking through some positive pictures online. i found this at weheartit.com
I hope you enjoy, please feel free to add if you feel you have some more inspiring things to share.
